When you play this piece, you will have to use your imagination about “getting something going on”. Get a move on! is a sentence that is usually used by parents telling their children to hurry up (“stop that or you will be late for school, quit messing around and get a move on!”). It’s also something I remember about my old English teacher during my high school time in the Netherlands. Get a move on! is a very technically challenging piece in both low and high register in a sort of jazz/funk style.
